Located halfway between the Denver Metro Area and Fort Collins along the I-25 corridor in Weld County. Mead is served by the St. Vrain Valley School District and offers easy access to Longmont, Boulder and Berthoud. A little town with a big future is the Berthoud motto.
A post office called Mead has been in operation since 1907. The town was named after Dr. Martin S. Mead, a pioneer settler. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 4.4 square miles.
